    Hmm.. So how does that even happen??? How do I go about a repair? I don't have the install discs.. it was a promo through the university I no longer attend..

    The disk isn't a problem - you can download an ISO file for the disk from the links here...

    use Belarc Advisor to get all the relevant Keys (www.belarc.com)

    So will I have to burn it to a cd? I will need to go buy some blank cds. I'll try it this evening or tomorrrow!

    either a DVD, or a 4GB+ USB thumb-drive :)
    (the file is 3.5GB or thereabouts, and won't fit on a CD!)
