    run these in an Elevated Command Prompt, and post the results.

    Perhaps it's time for a deep dive into the COMPONENTS hive....
    (Dunno how much I'll be able to see, but>>)


    I need to have alook at your COMPONENTS registry hive



    Please copy theC:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS file (no extension) to your desktop andthen compress it - upload the compressed file to your favoured fileshare site(preferably Dropbox or SkyDrive) and post a link.

    Ouch - it looks to me as if there are large chunks of the registry missing

    My second opinion has confirmed my suspicions - there is roughly half the data present in the COMPONENTS file that there should be.

    There is no way that we can rebuild that much of it short of a repair install
