REG UNLOAD HKLM\COMPONENTS
Haha, I'm glad you find it interesting cause I have no idea what any of it means!
Here's the results:

That looks OK - let's back up one..
run these in an Elevated Command Prompt, and post the results.

Doesn't seem like there is a problem here either?

You're right
Perhaps it's time for a deep dive into the COMPONENTS hive....
(Dunno how much I'll be able to see, but>>)
I need to have alook at your COMPONENTS registry hive
Please copy theC:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS file (no extension) to your desktop andthen compress it - upload the compressed file to your favoured fileshare site(preferably Dropbox or SkyDrive) and post a link.
components.zip | SockShare
let me know if you want me to use a different fileshare site :)
Ouch - it looks to me as if there are large chunks of the registry missing
I'm going to ask for a second opinion.
Hmm... that doesn't sound good... lol..
My second opinion has confirmed my suspicions - there is roughly half the data present in the COMPONENTS file that there should be.
There is no way that we can rebuild that much of it short of a repair install
