Windows updated, now "this copy of windows is not genuine build"

I have turned off Windows automatic updates, and about 3-4 days ago I tried to manually update but it failed. A night or two ago Windows automatically updated (within a minute of my fiance's updating) and now I get the above message in the bottom right corner of my desktop.

EDIT After running the commands in post 5 here Another Windows 7 build 7601 " This copy of windows is not genuine" it no longer displays the message on my desktop, but it does still say "ask for genuine microsoft software" in the bottom right of Computer properties, don't remember if this used to be there or not.

In order to completely troubleshoot Windows validation & activation issues, please perform the following:

    1. Download and save this tool to your desktop:
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

    2. Run the tool, and then click Copy - ignore any errors if they appear

    3. Use CTRL+V to paste the unedited results of the tool here in your next reply

The post you refer to was a request for information - not a possible fix - so could not have fixed your problem.

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

    https://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/234159-windows-genuine-activation-issue-posting-instructions.html

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
