Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of windows not genuine

I had an issue with my laptop where it wouldn't boot; I tried reinstalling the operating system and completely messed up the machine (don't ask me how, because I have no idea what went wrong) and so sent it to a shop to be fixed. I was told when I picked it up that it had been rebuilt and now have the PC telling me that the copy of windows I have is not genuine. The version of windows I have came with the PC as far as I know - I sent the PC away with my windows disks when it was being fixed. I have tried to find a way to activate it using the product key on the bottom of my PC, but there is no option to do this in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System. When I run slui.exe, I get this message:

0x80070422 - the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

I have contacted the shop that rebuilt it for me, but they have not yet responded. I am not sure what has caused the error as it has only started doing this today and I have had it back for almost 2 weeks now. I don't know if it is relevant, automatic updates were turned off and wouldn't initially let me turn them back on (they are now on), also, the restore wizard will not run and have found no solution to this. My PC was overheating when playing games (got a few BSODs), and I hope that underclocking the GPU to fix this or the original BSOD was not the cause of these problems.

In short I have no idea what is wrong here.

In System under windows activation, it says:
    Status Not Available
    Product ID: Not available

    Here is my MGADIAG report:

Report the output from the command window once it finishes.
It just says Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations...
    Did you need the sfcdetails.txt?

No, we shouldn't need that. Let me ask NoelDP to have a look at this for you.

The 422 error means that a critical service has been disabled.

Please run the following commands, and post the results.

    net start sppsvc
    sc qc sppsvc
    sc queryex sppsvc

    net start sppuinotify
    sc qc sppuinotify
    sc queryex sppuinotify

Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
    1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
    2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
    3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

Ok, the shop that fixed my PC when I messed it up last time remotely connected to my PC and seem to have fixed whatever the problem was. I would post what they did here to fix it so that others could benefit, but I didn't understand any of it. They did something in command prompt. Its really strange watching your computer do things when you aren't touching it! Anyway, thanks for trying to help - as I said before I am useless with computers!
