On your Keyboard press Key and the letter R key . You should get the Run window . Inside the run window type in services.msc and press [ENTER] . Inside the Services window scroll down to Windows Updates .

So, would you say my problem is fixed? I'm still having problems getting the rest of my updates to install.
My goal in starting this thread was to get Windows Update back into functioning condition and the numerous updates that have been collecting installed.
I'm running some updates now. I'll add the error code to this post if it fails.

Not sure. I restarted my computer and Windows Update said I needed to install an update to resume using it.
Okay, that update is in.
It looks like I still have 9 important updates and 4 optionals.
