Ok here you go.
Great - the CheckSUR is as clear as can be expected.
Now try the update again and cross your fingers :)
Dang same old thing the only thing difference is it's decided it doesn't need the other update it has been trying to install just the SP2 for Microsoft Office 2013.
Is this a Windows issue or an Office issue?
I think it's an Office issue :)
Most of the time, such issues are caused by the failure of the MSOCache system - often because the system cannot access it because it's been deleted to free disk space
I would suggest re-posting the current Office problem in a specialist Office forum - either here in Sevenforums, or at MS's Office Community forums....

Thanks Noel I appreciate you taking the time to try to help me. Before I posted here I scoured the link you posted and it seems you get a lot of standard/pat answers but very little actual help but I will check it out further.
Noel just wanted to update that I finally got the update to install it was a Permissions issue but don't know why all of a sudden that was a problem. Found the solution it was contained in one of the other numerous questions on this same error. Simply run the command:
"secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose"
and that took care of the problem in a few seconds!
Just wanted to add it still may not have worked had you not gotten rid of my other errors. Thanks again!
