How to uninstall an incomplete installation of IE9 on windows 32 bit

    You have to rename the update.mum and update.cat files for the basic ones. :) (nothing is ever simple!)

    How did you replace the files?- if by any other means that using CheckSUR, there's a good chance that you have to do it again.
    Please run a new CheckSUR scan and post the new log.

    You have to rename
    update.mum to Package_for_KB2722913~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~9.4.1.0.mum
    and

    before inserting them into the C:\Windows\Temp\Checksur\servicing\Packages folder

    Package watchlist missing


    I renamed the .cat and .mum file for the missing package. This has now removed the corrupt package. I now have CBS Watchlist Package Missing 0x80070002 and CBS Watchlist Component Missing 0x80070002 as per attache checksur.log.

    I *know* I replied to this earlier - but it seems to have gotten lost in the post!

    You seem to be fairly proficient - so I'll let you loose on your own, but don't be shy if you hit a wall somewhere :)
    Don't forget, there is no 'Undo' button in the registry, so be careful, and make backups!
