    800B0100 & 8024200D errors installing Win 7 SP1 on Samsung X64 laptop


    When I try to update Win 7, I get error codes 800B0100 & 8024200D. I have installed the System Update Readiness Tool but still get the same update errors. "sfc /scannow" showed no errors. When I run Windows Update Troubleshooter it shows two update file errors corrected. Yet subsequent attempts using Windows Update produces the same errors. I tried downloading "windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe" and installing SP1 that way but installation fails with no error code. All other updates installed except IE9 which also fails with code TRUST_e_NOSIGNATURE(0X800B0100). I also updated all drivers and turned off firewall and virus software when trying to update.

    I've uploaded a file - acdaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
    Please download and save it.
    Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
    Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder acdaa in the same place.
    Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

    Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

    And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

    Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

    Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

    Great - CheckSUR found and fixed a number of problems - hopefully, Windows update should be working again??
    If not, run the CheckSUR tool again, and post the new ChckSUR.log file.

Hello, I'm having some problems with Windows Updates. Updates gives me errors 800B0100 & 8024200D. I have just re-installed my Windows 7 (Ultimate 64bit) and never had this problem before. Could somebody help me. I have tried everything already. Please, see the attachments. BR, Sukkis
