    invalid license code

    Hi all,
    Background
tried to install dual boot, it failed misserably, ended up removing my backup partition (D) and totally mucked up my c drive as well.
Did a complete reinstall, from my >>>OEM<<< disk, yep 1 of the lucky ones who had them shipped with PC. Have previously reinstalled from disc no problem, suspect BIOS changes have caused this.
Note the PC now dual boots. second attempt worked

Been trying to activate for a couple of days(Online).
    Error message Invalid product code.

SP1 and all updates upto date

    Hi Roy,

Try activating once more, but make sure you read the key carefully. It won't contain any of these characters:

    A E I L N O S U Z 1 0

A common mistake is to misread a Q as an 0 or O.

If that still fails, try phone activation:

The current Key is the Default Key for Windows 7 Home Premium.

You need to change the Key using the option at the bottom of the System properties page - make sure that you're reading the right Key (do NOT use one read from Belarc/ProduKey/etc - it must be from a COA or POA sticker)
