It is legal to install Windows 7 on customers computers?
Hi,
I have several customers that ask me to install them Windows 7, but they dont have licence. Can I install them Windows 7 home edition and warn them they have 30 days to active it buying a license? Is that legal? |

Why not?
Everybody can download and install windows and try before buy it. You can download windows leaglly from internet and later install it. Why you said no? Explain yourself. |

No, customer want to install him Windows. I install him trial Windows and warn customer that he has 30 days to buy a license. I think this is lagal, because you can download trial Windows from different oficial sites.

The only legal trial versions of Windows are those for Enterprise - which are time-limited.
The so-called 'trial installs' done with the default Key are merely a backstop and are not in fact trials at all. From the License terms for Windows 7.... Quote:
If properly licensed, you have the right to use the version of the software installed
during the installation process up to the time permitted for activation. |

Linux is OK. All Linux are free. But some peaple wants Windows. Then where can I download Enterprise edition?
