Installed Samsung 840Evo SSD, Copy of Windows Not Genuine
Disclaimer- I'm sorry that I made duplicate posts on the same topic. Here is the information from the main thread I posted-
Hi,
I recently installed a new Samsung 840 EVO 120gb SSD. After using the Samsung software to move everything over, everything works but I get Windows notifications everywhere that my copy of windows is not genuine. My desktop background says:
Windows 7
Build 7601
This copy of Windows is not genuine
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
Intel Core2Duo T7500 2.2ghz
Refurbished HP Compaq6910p, came updated w/ Windows 7 and Office 2010
I'm kind of lost on what to do. Everything works just fine, except that when I start my computer I get a popup saying "not genuine, get genuine now etc". It also resets my desktop background to a black picture with "not genuine etc" in the bottom right.
I'm not quite as good with this stuff as I would like. If anyone has any help I would really appreciate it. Please be as specific as you can, especially if you would like me to type any command prompt stuff.
Thank you
