    The known affected services
    MPSSVC
    WSCSVC
    WUAUSERV
    BITS
    WINDEFEND
    IPHLPSVC
    SHAREDACCESS

While I'm working up the fix for those, let's get you producing the list of installed services...

Open Regedit - be careful here because registry errors can be fatal!

in the left pane, navigate to
    HKey_Local_Machine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

Right-click on the 'Services' key and select Export
Select to export to the Desktop
in the File name box type 'mpkservh'
at the 'File Type' box, select 'Registry Hive Files'
    and save the file
    Close Regedit

Compress the mpkservh file and upload the compressed file to your reply.

That'll give me something to keep me awake tonight :)

    I've uploaded a file - mpkfixaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive

Pleasedownload and save it to your desktop.

Right-clickon the saved file and select Extract all...

    Saveit to the default location

    Thisshould create a file mpkfixaa.reg

right-clickon the file, and select Merge

Acceptthe warnings, - you should then get a 'Success' message.

    Closeall windows, and reboot.

Now run the FarBar Service Scanner again, and post the results.

Ah - I think I may know what the problem is.

I'll have to wait until tomorrow before I can test, though - back then!

    Here we go :)

    I've uploaded a file - mpkfix2.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive

Please download and save it to your desktop.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...

Save it to the default location

This should create a file mpkfix2.reg

right-click on the file, and select Merge

Accept the warnings, - you should then get a 'Success' message.

    Close all windows, and reboot.

Now run the FarBar Service Scanner again, and post the results.
