    CheckSUR has this in the Summary...
    Code:
    Summary:
    Seconds executed: 118
     Found 5 errors
      CSI Unable to Query Store Version Total count: 1
      CBS MUM Corrupt Total count: 4
    The only one out of the ordinary there is the CSI Unable to Query Store Version Total count: 1 error - which could be very serious.
    The CBS log is stuffed with the following error-type...
    Code:
     Line 84688: 2013-11-04 06:33:12, Error CBS Failed to initialize store parameters with boot drive: and windows directory: [HRESULT = 0x80073712 - ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT]
     Line 84690: 2013-11-04 06:33:12, Error                 CSI    00000011@2013/11/4:12:33:12.193 (F) d:\win7sp1_gdr\base\wcp\componentstore\storelayout.cpp(6636): Error STATUS_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT originated in function ComponentStore::CRawStoreLayout::OpenCanonicalDataKey expression: (null)
     Line 84693: 2013-11-04 06:33:12, Error CBS Failed to initialize store parameters with boot drive: and windows directory: [HRESULT = 0x80073712 - ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT]
    I suspect that this means that your COMPONENTS hive is corrupted, badly.

    Your best bet is a System Restore back to a period when it worked properly - and if that fails, then you'll have to do a Repair Install to get the registry back in sync again.

    I tried System Restore already it was no help.
    When I tried a in place repair it copied all files, then gathered information, then gave me an error to try and install all current updates and try again.

    In that case, all I can recommend is that you attempt a Repair install - see here for instructions.

    That tends to imply that your system is highly corrupted. You should back up all data to external media and do a clean install.

    I was able to get windows update working again, I got out an old hard drive and installed windows 7 on it. Then I went in and copied COMPONETS registry file and replaced mine with it. It also fixed sfc /scannow, I ran it and it gave me no integrity problems were found. It installed many updates some failed but I am a lot better off than I was. Thanks for the help, that you were able to give.
