    Windows Update Error Code 9C57


    Hello all my computer recently got messed up last week and i was just able to get it fixed the other night, however though i was able to install all my updates, except for IE10 and i started getting error code 9C57 Windows Encounters an Unknown error, it won't let me attach the CBS log i keep getting an internal server error

    Pleasefollow the WindowsUpdate Posting Instructions and post the requested data If you get a Server error, delete the older CBSPersist files and try again.

    The CheckSUR log is incomplete - but has a LOT of errors present.
    The CBS.log appears to be clear - but has errors relatingto the CheckSUR results.




    Did you reboot after running CheckSUR? - if not, please do so, and post the new CheckSUR.log file

    i used my recovery disks and just restored my whole computer and i am going to try to do all my updates again, all are so far saying successful or pending and the only one that has failed so far was one for the windows defender update, which is one i don't need because i have my own anti-virus software, i will let you know if IE10 installs as it was included in the list

    I am now running IE10, any information as to when IE11 will be available through Windows Update

    It'll be rolled out over the next few months - it depends on exactly where you are.
    You could always download the offline installer... see Brink's thread here... IE11 for Windows 7 Globally Available
