(it's not much better for many! - including me )

The last command didn't actually run - can you try again, please and this time hit the Enter key a couple of time to make sure that the final command runs??

The S256H entry is missing from the registry key that was found - which would account for at least some of the problems.

I forgot, I did a system restore last week. I thought if I rolled it back it up it might take some of those updates out. I should have taken it all the way back to the first install after the reinstall. When I looked at the update history they were all still there????

Out of curiosity, where did you get that S256H value from?

Thanks for the try. You spent a LOT of time on this, and even if we didn't accomplish anything, I appreciate your time.

HI Tom
Any idea why I keep getting these same errors? I did do a restore as I said. When I went back to see if I had undone it, I have not. I did however add some sort of WMI tool. Don't ask me what the heck it does, I have no clue. I checked the error code at Technet and this was the solution. However it wasn't a solution to anything cause I still get the same stupid errors over and over no matter how many times I reboot.

Hi George,

I would like you to run OTL please. This a tool we use for malware removal, but it should be able to give us a better picture of what your system is like at the moment:

OTL

Please download OTL (by OldTimer) from the link below and save it to your Desktop.
Download Mirror #1
  1. Disable all anti-virus and anti-malware software to prevent them inhibiting OTL in any way. If you are unsure how to do this, see THIS.
  2. Double-click OTL.exe to run it.
  3. Click Run Scan to start OTL.
  4. When OTL finishes scanning, two logs, OTL.txt and Extras.txt will open.
  5. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of both of these logs into your next post please.
