    Code:
    Notification Reason: 0xC004FE00.
If Noel doesn't mind, I'll borrow one of his posts for a similar problem.

    Recreate the Licensing Store
    1. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
    2. Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
    3. Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each

    net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)

    CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
    net start sppsvc
    slui.exe

After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key, or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case

Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report

Wow! After all this time (I swear it's been 6-8 months?) that seems to have fixed the activation problem I was having. I haven't tried anything else such as windows updates or refreshing my .NET installation which was having problems before but this seems to be a huge step in the right direction. Thank you so much Noel and Golden.

Here's the MGDiag report. Please let me know what else you think I should do. I'm going to try to redo my Windows Updates and .NET install and I'll report back.

    **EDIT**
I tried running Windows update and it failed still.
Code 80070002 - Windows Update encountered an unknown error.

Maybe this is the point, now that the activation seems to be fixed, where I should try a repair install?

    Hey Noel,
Just FYI I edited my post above with some more updates. Good but still not great yet.

FYI, I truly appreciate all your help in the long endeavor of mine. I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without your help and the help and patience of everyone else on this forum and the microsoft forum.

OK - run through the Windows Update Posting Instructions again, and post the new CBS folder.

    Hi Noel!

I hope you are having a good weekend. I ran the SURT and it finished rather quickly (within 10 minutes).
I then ran an SFC check from an administrator command prompt which seems to have failed with the message "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation". I attached a screenshot of the command prompt.

I also zipped up and attached my CBS folder.

    Thanks,
    Raj

The CheckSUR is a bit of a mess
The CBS log is a similar mess - and I think it likely that the failure of SFC is due to registry problems.

We can try and repair the errors - but with the number of different types of failure in the CheckSUR log, I suspect that there are problems which aren't showing here.

(Your SFC scan failed because you misspelt the switch /SCANNOW - but the scan would probably have failed anyhow due to the registry errors.)

I suspect that your best option is going to be a repair install.

How did I misspell SCANNOW? The first time I did it it was lowercase, but you can see the second time the scan starts. . .
