    Hi Muzziful, Welcome to Sevenforums.

from where did you get the Win 7 copy that you are using? If you bought it, seems like the copy that you have is not legit. Normally you can just go to MS site and activate the windows.

It was already loaded on my laptop when I got it. I activated it on the day and has been working fine for a year..

Press the Windows logo key and the pause/break at the same time to bring up System Properties. It should have a link that says, "Activate Windows Now" or something. Follow the prompts.

You can't be serious? The sticker with the activation code peeled off ages ago and i have no idea where it is.. Windows has been working fine up til yesterday. I just want to remove this stupid writing at the bottom of my desktop. That's it.

First - download and run Belarc Advisor - www.belarc.com
that will tell you the currently install Product Key.

Assuming that looks OK, please follow these instructions....

Please first try recreating Licensing Store.

    Recreate the Licensing Store
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each

    net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)

    CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
    net start sppsvc
    slui.exe

After a couple of seconds the Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key, or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one that Belarc found.

Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report.

(Note: the Line 'CD %win......\SoftwareProtectionPlatform' is all on one line - it may be broken in the Forum listing)
