How many times can a RETAIL product key be transferred?

For example, a user buys a Retail (single license, not VL Build) version of Windows 7 Professional. The user buys a new laptop, uninstalls Win7 Retail from the old laptop, and re-installs it to the new one. If I understood correctly, this is possible, since the key is only activated one machine at a time.

How many times can the user transfer the Retail license from one machine to another? Is there a specific limitation to this?

But you may run into problems if you do it every week

    :)
Yep - the transfers allowed are theoretically unlimited, but it's likely that the questioning by the activation operators will get increasingly in-depth over time, depending on the frequency of requests. Generally speaking I think the accepted frequency is around the 120-day mark. Any more often than that, and the operators will start delving into reasons and physical proofs.
