    Failure configuring windows update error

    Hello all

    Im using W7 x86.
I installed win7 x86 onto my another machine newly. Then I installed necessary important updates manually from Windows update (system and security\windows update) (default selection is : Install updates automatically ( recommended )
Now, my machine cannot start. It gives following error when machine starting up : "Failure configuring windows updates"
After this error machine restart automatically but it doesnt start again.

I pressed F8 button while machine booting up and selected "last known good configuration" and machine start successfully.

Also If I select "never check for updates" option from windows updates machine can start normally.

What is your opinion for fix that problem?

    Thank you

I would do a repair install
    Repair Install

Backup your data first (just in case)...hopefully this will fix the corrupt files going array in Windows Update
