    The normal attempt to fix this is to use a Clean Boot, and try it from there.

    I'd first try downloading the updates using the standalone installers - if that fails, then use the clean boot process with the installers....

    tried a clean boot then downloading the earliest failed update i could find which is from november 2012 and it still came up with update failed to install, also tried this for the latest updates which also didn't install

    Please post the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file - it may tell us something

225691 I have run a FixIt and Windows Update readiness tool and I still can't get these 3 updates to install. I retried both tools 3 times, sfc found no violations. Retrying updates yields the same errors. I have tried each one individually too. I've also rebooted and restarted the PC.:mad:
