Looks like CheckSUR found nothing wrong, which is good, at least :)

Please post your C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file - that'll give us a lot of data to work with.

Where is the "UPdate" 'folder' in Win 7
    Have a look here: C:\Users\whs\AppData\Roaming\PCDr
That only applies if PCDr is installed - and on your machine, since you didn't bother to edit your username out.

trying to attach the windows update log - hey- "getting an error message below - 800b0100 on KB2882822 & kb2859537 - I'm being told my windows is not genuine. " Bull.

found the paper clip, highlighted the log file, look like its attached. Some uploads marked as potentially superceded...

WHS - I figured out the user sub, No PCDr installed here yet.

Please post an MGADiag report - it may have some interesting data for us.

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands

    sc sdshow plugplay
    REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-1-5-18" /S
    REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-1-5-19" /S
    REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-1-5-20" /S

Copy and paste the results to your reply

Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
    1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
    2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
    3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.
