Error: Windows 7 Professional Activation error (0xC004F074)
Hello,
I own a Lenovo Thinkpad X220 running Windows 7 Professional, which I bought through my school around two years ago, and Windows 7 Pro was pre installed. Yesterday I opened my laptop and it told me that my Windows was counterfeit and I had to reactivate it again. I tried to reactivate it, but it gave me to Error (0xC004F074), which had the following description:
'The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.'
I am pretty sure that my version is totally genuine because over 100 people in my school bought the same laptop from my school at around the same time, the package was officially tendered from a company, which I had to pay for licensing for both Windows and Microsoft Office, and my school has an IT department that manages these things.
