IE11 will not open or uninstall

I am running Win 7 Ultimate x64 and IE11. Asus motherboard, Intel I5 processor & 8gb Ripjaw RAM.

When I try to open IE it flashes for a brief second then goes away. Firefox is working fine as is all other MS software currently installed. Below is a list of what I have tried by reading forums and searches. I have attached screen shots of the errors/results of each try.

    1) Uninstall in elevated cmd prompt - "Operation failed - 0x80070005"
    2) Uninstall IE11 - Error has occurred - "Not all updates uninstalled"
    3) Turn windows feature on/off - "Error has occurred - Not all features were changed"
    4) Install IE11 - "Operating system not supported"
    5) Install IE10 - "IE10 already installed on the system"
    6) Tried MS FixIT software - It runs with no result.

I have tried all options listed in Safe mode as well. Have also run windows update and restore to previous point.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your input! My next thing to try may be a baseball bat! :)

Was FINALLY able to get it corrected by using sfc /scannow in CMD Admin mode. Took several tries but finally corrected the issue.
