so far so good. i dropped it off last Saturday, it shipped Mon and got to the repair facility wed - was repaired Wed and released to UPS on Wed evening. so far UPS has not released any tracking info yet except to say delivery should be Friday. If all that happens I'l be very happy! I keep checking status but it just keeps saying a ticket has been prepared but they cannot do anything until the package is picked up by UPS. So the waiting continues. ;-)

I have to admit to being hugely surprised by the quick turnaround - unless they just swapped in a new HD.
Please keep notes of the system actions when you first boot it.
my laptop was going slow about a year ago and i used the one key recovery system by lenovo and it went to factory defaults and all was fine for about 2 weeks and one day when i attempted to turn it on i found out it had crashed on me and the the motherboard went bad so i had to take it into best buy for geek squad to get it fixed and i had it back within 2 and a half weeks and i haven't had any problems since
