Your CBS.log shows the following major errors -

Please download and save the CheckSUR tool from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
(you'll need to look in the details for Windows 7, downloading from the Microsoft Download Center)

Run it - The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient.
The result is logged in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log file - and an archive …\checksur.persist.log file

Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your reply.

    OUCH!
I cannot see any way to fix this without at least a repair install...
Here's the summary from your CheckSUR log...

    Code:
    Summary:
    Seconds executed: 945
     Found 4148 errors
CSI Missing Deployment Key Total count: 4147
CSI Missing Winning Component Key Total count: 1
It's as if half (or more) of the updates installed already had been chopped of at the neck - the heads may be present, but the feet are missing!

If you've been using any kind of Registry Cleaner, then that's almost certainly the root cause of the problem, and you need to
    1) uninstall it
    2) promise never to use anything like it again

Then attempt a repair install following the tutorial here - https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html?ltr=R

    Damn it :-(

I might have used it one or twice in the past. I promise never to use it again.
I will check after coming home from work and run the repair install tool.

I make an update later on, to let you now how it's going.

I'm really glad for your help.

The links for Danish Win7 Pro are there - about 1/3 down this page... Windows 7 Direct Download Links, Official Disk Images from Digital River

You can generalise it by deleting the ei.cfg file and recreating the ISO - use that for the reinstall.
