Just concentrate on the SURT/CheckSUR (yes they are the same) for the moment - once that's clear we can check the SFC again.

Sorry for delay - running SURT took a while. Here's the output of the log:
Code:================================= Checking System Update Readiness. Binary Version 6.1.7601.22471 Package Version 23.0 2014-03-30 21:10 Checking Windows Servicing Packages Checking Package Manifests and Catalogs Checking Package Watchlist Checking Component Watchlist Checking Packages Checking Component Store Summary: Seconds executed: 3005 No errors detected
Bingo :)
Now please run the SFC /scannow, and post the new CBS.log file
The single error we already know will be there can almost certainly be ignored - in my opinion it should never have been in the protected list in the first place.
SFC Scannow run.
CBS zip file attached
Thanks
Nick
AS expected, there's only the one error there still.
Please do a manual Check for Updates in Windows update and attempt to install only the oldest update available - which one is it, and what error message do you get (if any)Code:Line 43494: 2014-03-30 22:46:03, Info CSI 00000315 [SR] Repairing 1 components Line 43495: 2014-03-30 22:46:03, Info CSI 00000316 [SR] Beginning Verify and Repair transaction Line 43498: 2014-03-30 22:46:03, Info CSI 00000318 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:20{10}]"tcpmon.ini" of Microsoft-Windows-Printing-StandardPortMonitor-TCPMonINI, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch Line 43501: 2014-03-30 22:46:03, Info CSI 0000031a [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:20{10}]"tcpmon.ini" of Microsoft-Windows-Printing-StandardPortMonitor-TCPMonINI, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch Line 43502: 2014-03-30 22:46:03, Info CSI 0000031b [SR] This component was referenced by [l:202{101}]"Microsoft-Windows-Foundation-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.7601.17514.WindowsFoundationDelivery" Line 43507: 2014-03-30 22:46:03, Info CSI 0000031e [SR] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:46{23}]"\??\C:\Windows\System32"\[l:20{10}]"tcpmon.ini"; source file in store is also corrupted Line 43512: 2014-03-30 22:46:03, Info CSI 00000320 [SR] Repair complete
Sad times. Update failed
Tried to update KB2592687 dated 10/09/13
Failed with error code 80243004.
Meant to say - didn't even look like it tried to install the update. It just hovered on "Preparing to Install" for ages.

Hmm - I can't see why this should be relevant, but....
Windows Update error 0x80243004
Windows Update Fails With Error 0x80243004 or 80243004
error 80243004?
may help :)
The 80243004 fix worked, the update installed but then failed on the configuration after reboot - got to 97% and then rolled back the changes through several reboots.
Error code is (again): 8007054F
Had a quick google but doesn't seem to be one consistent fix for this.

Please post the new C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file, and the new CBS.log file - they may tell me something.
OK.
Files attached.
Thanks.
