I've uploaded a file - r27ac.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it to your desktop.
Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Save it to the default location
This should create a file r27ac.reg in a folder r27ac

Now open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following command

REG LOAD HKLM\COMPONENTS C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS

right-click on the file, and select Merge
Accept the warnings, - you should then get a 'Success' message.
Close all windows, and reboot.

Then run a new CheckSUR scan, and post the new CheckSUR.log file.

Ah geez, I forgot to reboot before running CheckSUR. But according to the log file, all the errors have been fixed? But it says it found 34 errors. Something's not right, is it? Sorry...

All fixed :)

The extras are because of extra entries in the registry that we just created, and the way CheckSUR handles them.


Please run a new SFC /SCANNOW, then reboot and post the new CBS.log file - then we'll see if anything got shaken loose by the fixes.

I'll check the previous patch I posted was correct, and we'll have another go at fixing the sfc error later/tomorrow
