Hi everybody, need some help in purchasing genuine activation code for Windows 7 Ultimate, downloaded iso file from digitalriver which is a 30 day trial, love the o/s but cant find anyone to purchase a activation code, all I can find are Windows 8 which I don't want,
Microsoft website doesn't offer any information on Windows 7.
Any help would be appreciated.

Your best bet is to purchase a System Builder OEM version of Windows. See below:

Probably the best place in the UK to get that....be sure to understand the limitations of the OEM installation. You could save quite a bit by purchasing Home Premium instead, unless you have a specific need for Ultimate.
Cheers for that, will dig a bit deeper and see if I really need Ultimate, had vista before and I threatened to throw computer out of window, terrible, don't know how I put up with it for so long,
Will have a look at new 14.04 LTS Ubuntu tomorrow when released, I'm a big fan of Linux, I see you triple boot with Ubuntu, will you update to 14.04 ?
I'll stick with 12.04 for now and see how the new release goes.
The only benefit that Ultimate delivers is Bitlocker Drive Encryption and additional language support. Go with a Home Premium x64 and you'll be laughing.
