This is a well-known problem, but as yet, we don't have a good solution for it.

I think we can leave the iassdo issue aside for the moment - I don't believe that your SP1 problem is related to it.

Please open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following command

    Code:
    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\

    .
once complete, reboot and try the SP1 install again - post the new CBS.log file if the install fails.

If the install works, then please run an SFC \SCANNOW again, and post the new CBS.log file

Install failed, here is the CBS. It's really big though, a 237.92MB wall of text.

Please compress it and upload it - it should compress to about 20MB, if we're lucky.
I'm on pay-per-byte at this end, and that lot would cost me a small fortune!

Please download and save to your desktop SFCFix.exe - from http://www.sysnative.com/niemiro/apps/SFCFix.exe

Please also download and save the attached SFCFixScript.txt file, also to your desktop.

Now drag the SFCFixScript file onto the SFCFix.exe file - accept any warnings, and wait for it to complete (could be a minute or three)
it should create a new SFCFix.txt file on the desktop.

Please upload that to your reply.

Sorry - you ran the executable without the script.
highlight the SFCFixScript.txt file, then left-click and hold the button down while dragging it over to the SFCFixe.exe file Let go the button, and it should launch SFCFix to run the script.

Having said that, this doesn't look like a 'normal' iassdo problem, from the report as it stands. It'll be interesting to see the results of the script run!
