    Windows Update Error 80070490?

Windows Update has a problem on my machine. Most of the updates get installed with no problem. However now and then (more then than now) one or more of them won't install. I have a couple from last year that are still sitting there. Today I ran the rediness tool a couple of times with no change. I've played with this for days now, I better stop before I fubar the whole thing up. I'm hoping one of you techies can help me figure this out.
Error code is 80070490 (of course that's an unknown error)
    Log folder attached
    Tnx,

    RE: Error 80070490?

Thanks,. I'll re-run the readiness tool a few more times. Now, the big question... As I understand the article, there's a good chance I'll be re-installing windows 7. My machine (64 bit) came with windows 7 pre-loaded, so... no disk. I remember having been pointed to a site along time ago that hosted all of the various versions, languages etc. Do you (or someone) remember the URL for that site? I predict that I have a a lot of work ahead of me <grin>
    Tnx a bunch,
    Dusty

Sure do Dusty just see this Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
just make sure to pick the right version and use the original activation code on the machines sticker. If you cannot find it for whatever reason phone Microsoft.
