Hi GeneC, RESOLVED !My problem was after installing KB2926765 my pc failed to recognise simple zip files, after reading your post i clicked your link 'Default File Type Associations - Restore' and found a link for 'file extension' following 'OPTION ONE' Press Control Panel / Folder Options / View / Restore Defaults / Apply / Ok. Am happy to say after reinstalling KB2926765 my Pc is running sweet once again. many thanks.
