What was the KB number for that update?
Download it from the Download centre, and install it - it should install happily.
If not, then we'll have to investigate the BITS and Event services.

With any luck it'll work now - again, try installing only the oldest update from the list - if it fails, post the error code, and the KB number.

What error code do you get installing only the oldest update?

Okay so I've been doing some research and it looks like the reason I'm getting this update is because my Background Intelligent Transfer Service isn't started.

So, I tried to start it.

And when I try and start it I get Windows error: 1068

Please download the Farbar Service Scanner from

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-service-scanner/

Right-click on the saved file and select 'Run as Administrator', and tick all the options, then click on the Scan button - copy and paste the report to your response.
