    Disabled Windows Update keeps updating

I told windows to not automatically do anything so I may do it myself. It then updated itself and after that I got a virus which I think took my restore points. So I disabled it in the services. It then cut itself back on and updated. how do I stop it from doing anything it wants, especially now with this virus or malware I do not want any new updates and installations.

Hello and welcome kpouter mate I am assuming you have I think you have said set the updates to lee you know they are there see my pic

For restore points have you tried the ones further back with clicking in that box for back dates? again see pic

You should be able to Hide the updates by right clicking on them and I am still assuming you know that too.

If you are concerned re malware I would be running these as well.

Your question is confusing the heck out of me...
Please try and create a proper timeline so we can see exactly what you say happened.

There is no way to recover lost Restore points - which means that it's not possible to use System Restore to go back to a point prior to it being disabled/cleared.

Hmm Noel I am waiting to see what if anything came up with those scans as it seems to me that something is messing up what the OP set the machine to do?

    Maybe he should run these??

https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html< if necessary include the /f switch in the command line as per Option2

PS or even run this http://support.kaspersky.com/4162

My suspicion is that the malware altered service states one way or another - possibly FSS and other tools will be needed.

I set Updates to never download or install without me. I used malwarebytes awdcleaner or something like that (cant find it in the start menu because the folder says its empty but i didnt do it). I used every thing recommended and mwb found something once but i went to bed and it updated in my sleep can it see me sleep too. So imma try this spyware stuff because it matters NOT now if any of this stuff is bad because its is clearly loaded with crap. will let whoever doesnt know know if it worked or not. In the meantime its corrupting files and moving applications because one of these programs says it sees one of the scanners on here but I cant find it in my start menru ibb o no i think its brb but whatever

Mate have you got everything like important data is backed up because it sounds like you might be up for a clean install.

Plus could we have system specs too System Info - See Your System Specs it might throw a bit more light on what we are looking at.

Not a problem mate but you might like tis for the new computer
Optimize Windows 7 just read it carefully though and don't rush, it looks a to to do and you don't to do all of it but it will make a difference to the machine performance, and pleas post back if you have any queries and problems.
    Good luck:)
