I think I may have run into an issue from June's patch Tuesday.

SHA512 is disabled in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
Just got that kb2966583 installed from WU without issue...
My other computer downloaded and installed all updates without a problem.
The problem computer I shut down instead of restart and then checked again and both problem KB's downloaded and installed. I check for updates 2 more times on both computers and their are no updates needed.
I think I might of hit the update server when it was very busy but I have no proof of that.
I'm thinking I shouldn't do anything until some experts speak on the subject.
I don't want to start fixing things that aren't broke.
I will run a sfc /scannow, can't hurt.
I came in from the shop a little late for lunch. I think it was around 1:30pm when I turned on the PC and got them. I was a little shaken when I saw the errors but they were still in the selection screen so I reran it and they went through.
I had no problems with this months updates. Totalled about 70Mb, required just the usual reboot.
Yes it's for some Windows 8.xx systems and Server. Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 Update: April 2014
