No luck. IE 10 continues to fail. I am downloading the individual package and trying to install IE10 that way:
IE10-Windows6.1-x86-en-us
I will then post the log files if failure persists.

It looks to me as if BitDefender and Zone Alarm are getting in the way - I suspect that you're going to have to uninstall both before IE will update properly
Id you elect to do so, then you should also run any cleanup tools they may have, to get rid of their dregs, prior to attempting the update.

Uninstalled ZoneAlarm and BitDefender using Revo uninstaller - complete.
Restarted
Downloaded and ran the ZoneAlarm and BitDefender uninstall tools. They took a while. Then restarted
Attempted to install IE10 with Windows Update. FAIL
Attempted to install IE10 with the standalone installer - IE10-Windows6.1-x86-en-us.exe; FAIL
Attempted to install IE11 with the standalone installer - IE11-Windows6.1-x86-en-us.exe; FAIL
Seem to be at wits end.
Restarted

GREAT NEWS! Checked yesterday and somehow, IE 10 slipped in through WUpdate all by itself. Can't explain it but we just had to be patient.
