    Update Error Code 80070308

Since the newest 9 Security Updates I am not able to install them anymore.

The Error I get is: "Code 80070308 Unknown Error"

    These Updates are failing:

    • KB2962872
    • KB2961072
    • KB2971850
    • KB2972280
    • KB2973201
    • KB2973351
    • KB2952664
    • KB2966583
    • KB2973337

sfc /scannow did not find any problems.
Also CheckSUR din't find any errors.

The CBS Folder as a *.zip archive here: http://ags-server.de/CBS.zip
(it's too big for uploading here)

Thank you for any help - I don't want to make an InPlace Upgrade because of a lot of problems in the past (The Computer was very slow after a repai install).

There is getting to be a rash of this error code this week!
(this is the third in 24 hours - and it's always been rare until now).

Here's the error sequence for yours.

I'm still researching this one - but it's beginning to sound as if there may be a problem with an update.

Update Error Code 80070308: Exactly the same problem with a twist!

Exactly the same problem on my desktop machine with Win 7 Professional 64 bit, tried all the suggested fix's including Malewarebytes scan, SFC Scan, Fix It Tool, Reboot etc.

Twist is: Exact same problem on my Dell XPS15 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit but after running Fix It Tool it successfully loaded all 9 updates. Difference seems to be failing on Pro version but OK on Home Premium.

    Any ideas?

    John.

Can you do me a big favor and install one update at a time? Let's see if we can narrow down to just one.

I'm going to guess it might be SHA512 is disabled in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

I tried three times to install only one of the updates (three different ones). But after aprox. 3 seconds it gaveme the same error code all the time.

Before I set up an official support case for you... what a/v or other security software are you running and can you disable it?

I do not run any AV software (Antivir without OnAccess Scanner, only onDemand, Spybot without any services or low-level drivers). I scan the system every few weeks with a live linux system).
