    Windows activation error (change product key)


    Hi guys. I am trying to change the product key for my windows 7 PC however when i click on the option to do so under computer> properties I am getting the error "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file". Any suggestions are much appreciated.

    Make sure you are following the steps correctly: Update your Windows product key - Windows Help

    Are you trying to change the product key while on an administrator account or not?

    One of the other options in the tutorial below to change your product key may work better for you. :)

    Are you trying to do it while on an administrator account or a standard user?

    Admin account. Its the only account on the PC.

    The cmd just closed. Ive tried it again just now and ive had success. I dont understand why it didnt work the first time though :/ i did everything exactly the same
