    Windows Upadate error C000000D - Windows 7 32 bit

Windows update recently failed after installing Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320. I have MS Security Essentials installed and up to date. I have run all MS recommended actions to no avail.

You have a number of errors in the CBS.log file...
    e.g.

    Code:
    2014-09-02 14:08:47, Info CBS WinVerifyTrust failed [HRESULT = 0x8007047f - ERROR_APP_WRONG_OS]
2014-09-02 14:08:47, Error CBS Failed to verify if mum file \\?\c:\33a5d38220fdcd1ded72d072\Sandbox\WUClient-SelfUpdate-Aux-TopLevel.cab\update.mum is vouched for by catalog \\?\c:\33a5d38220fdcd1ded72d072\Sandbox\WUClient-SelfUpdate-Aux-TopLevel.cab\update.cat. [HRESULT = 0x8007047f - ERROR_APP_WRONG_OS]
    2014-09-02 14:08:47, Info CBS Failed to initialize internal package [HRESULT = 0x8007047f - ERROR_APP_WRONG_OS]
    2014-09-02 14:08:47, Error CBS Failed to create internal package [HRESULT = 0x8007047f - ERROR_APP_WRONG_OS]
I've never seen this type of error before, from WU.
What surprises me is that CheckSUR is showing no equivalent problems.

Are you using any form of registry 'cleaner' or 'optimizer'?
What other Anti-Virus products have EVER been installed on this system?

You indicate that you have Win 7 Enterprise installed - where did you get this from?
To give us more data in the easiest way, please follow the instructions here - Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - but just post the file in this thread.
With any luck it may give us some clues.

I think reinstalling is my best option at this point. I don't want to spend a too much time on this. Thanks for the assistance.

I wouldn't disagree with that decision!

    Good luck with it.
