Windows 7 SP1 update failed, causing Windows Update errors

did a new search on the whole computer "C" drive lookin for "pending.*". found the following;
Folder: C:\Windows\winsxs\Temp\PendingRenames
PENDING_bffzwq in a dropbox folder
both of these were from after Aug 1 2014

Odd - there should be at least one 'pending*.*' file in the C:\windows\winsxs folder?
