The IE8 one made sense why it failed because another update installed IE11.

The security update however did want me to try and install it again and the second attempt it worked.

So now all I have left is 4 optional updates. Can you tell me which ones are worth getting? I really don't know.
An update is available that adds support for DTLS in Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) 8.0 update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Media Player 12 displays scrambled DVD content in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2
Update for RemoteApp and Desktop Connections feature is available for Windows
Its your opinion, look at the updates do you use any of them?

Do you use windows media player?
Do you use DTLS?

Whether you use something or not, if it is installed on your computer, then you should install the updates. The things to watch for are installation updates for apps you don't have already and may not want, such as Silverlight or Bing Desktop.

MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

Late yesterday I have to do install Silverlight to get something to work on a webpage. Bing Desktop however, as soon as I see it, I hide the update.

I'll probably just go get the optional updates just so I have them. I had them anyway before I had reinstalled my computer. The only update I avoid is Bing Desktop.
