Auto updates switches off after every reboot.

    Hi

I have Windows update set to automatic. After every reboot there is a cross in Action Centre on the toolbar. I have to go in and switch back to automatic every time. Updates work normally and the PC is up to date.
I think this started when I installed Bitdefender Total Security 2015 but cant be certain. I know it's not a huge deal to switch it on but I'm worried something is not right.

    Thanks

Try to un-install Bit-defender, and install Avast.

Lets see if the problem continues then.

Do you preform regular Scans on your PC?

Sadly I have 588 days left on Bitdefender and am not inclined to ditch it. I scan every day.

    Okay, that's a shame

Make sure Bitdefender is upto date.

That makes no difference - you may still need to uninstall it, then run their cleanup tool (if there is one) and then reinstall it.
Check their forums for detailed assistance.
