solve pc issues 1 important message Change windows update settings
I've been having this same issue for over a year now and I can NOT find a solution. I registered today because I don't know what else to do.
I keep getting this notification "solve pc issues 1 important message Change windows update settings" almost daily. The message says it's a security thing and even though I check the box everytime, I still get that message. |

For that message to go away you must have Windows Update set to automatically download and install updates.
What WU setting do you have? |

If one wants to keep whatever settings without getting some "important message", that's possible in action center (see attachment). Not a recommendation, only information.
If you change Windows update to 'Automatic' and it does not stick, there's something wrong that needs to be investigated. |

Could the security program be the cause of this problem.

...I never noticed that - thanks, Bear! I agree that it's VERY possibly the source of the problems, and would recommend uninstall with prejudice.

Thank you so much for your replies. Each time that notification comes up, I click on Install updates automatically (recommended). But it doesn't stick as I'll get another same notification a day or 2 later. I turned off messages about Windows Updates and is currently not being monitored. I don't think it's recommended but it seems to work for now.
Is there anything else I should be checking? Please advise! |

You can try to change the setting directly in Control Panel - Windows Update - Change settings. Set it to recommended and see if it sticks that way.
I have that flag every day also because I haven't set Windows Update to automatic. I'm fine what that. |

ALSO, I'm now noticing things like "not connected to internet" even when I'm online. Also, my personalization page (where you choose themes and screensavers) never reflects my choices. It shows 'none'. Have I been hijacked or something? |

Did you listen to the advice from Layback Bear & NoelDP? I can't see you've commented on that. They highly question your antivirus product, which might be the reason to your problems.
