    Windows 7 x64 sp1 installation error

Trying to install sp1 on a windows 7 computer.

I get this error code: 8024200D

I have tried installing from Windows Update and from a disc.

I did run sfc /scannow but the file is too large to paste or attach as a text doc

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data
If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

The problem appears to be with the SP1 install.
Your best bet is probably a repair install of the OS.

I tried the repair install using the seven forums guide.

Unfortunately, it won't let me do this method since it tells me i need to install sp1 to use the iso i'm trying to use(which is what i'm trying to install in the first place)...i'm using windows 7 ultimate x64 sp1 iso
so if there's a windows 7 ultimate x64 iso out there without sp1 on it, i might be able to use that

If you scroll down this page

Windows 7 Direct Download Links, Official Disk Images from Digital River

there's Windows 7 Ultimate x64 RTM iso - I think that means release to manufacturer ie pre sp1

    the link seems live
