    Windows update failure-reverting changes


    I recently installed a new ssd,everything seemed fine.I have downloaded about 150 updates but keep getting this error.Anybody got any ideas of a fix/way round it.Thanks,

    since how long is it trying to revert the changes and did it restart?

    Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data
    If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

    (yeah - I'm repeating stuff, but there's a good chance that the upload will fail due to being oversized, and the error message isn't obvious!)

    Apologies for the delay in responding. The issue seems to have rectified itself. I installed while the PC was on and they installed fine. Thanks for the heads up on what to do if it does happen again.
