Windows Update Fail - code 80073712

After factory resetting my laptop I had to start again with the windows updates. After installing many of them the past 2-3 days, I now get a fail message with these specific five.

Updates that fail with Code 80073712:

I ran the sfc /scannow command and it says that it found corrupt files but was unable to fix them.
Τhe log is pretty big (that can't be good) and it cannot be attached here unfortunately. So I'm giving a dropbox link (I hope this is OK) for it:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/stuug5snusw0m0g/CBS.zip?dl=0

I also ran the SUR tool, but I couldn't get it to install or work. I read that you have to wait for it, but it was on for about 3-4 hours installing a Hotfix and the bar did not even begin to get full.

Any help would be appreciated as I lost much of my time these past few days with formatting and trying to make my laptop as it was before.

Try disabling you anti-virus and run the SUR tool again

It looks to me as if the whole Manifests folder has gone missing!
CheckSUR when you crashed it had found over 1400 missing manifest files - and was still going strong.

Your only real hope as either to find the folder (if it got moved somehow by accident) and replace it where it should be - or a repair install of the OS.

What should I need to search for?
There is a C:\Windows\winsxs\Manifests folder.

The CheckSUR was working and it was because of the huge amount of errors that it seemed as stuck?

How many files are in the C:\Windows\winsxs\Manifests folder? - there should be well over 10000 there.
Is there another Manifests folder anywhere else? If so, where, and how many files in it?

...and yes - but it fixed less than 100 of them the first time you ran it, and almost none the second time.

Τhere are 22660 files in the C:\Windows\winsxs\Manifests folder.
There is another Manifests folder in System32 but it says it's empty and also some folders with the word manifests in their name (manifeststore or amd64_microsoft-windows-a..structure-manifests_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_fbf16a81c9f1ea8f)

That all sounds normal enough - apart from the Manifests folder in System32, which shouldn't be there.
The Manifeststore in System32 on my machine currently has 5 .amx files in it - which appear to be related to the SP1 install I did many moons ago.
I don't think we're going to be able to fix this without at least a repair install.

You mean following these instructions? :
Repair Install

I'll give it a try and report.

It's frustrating. I'm trying to solve a problem and I bump to another one.
I followed the instructions but it now seems that the "upgrade" (Windows repair installation) is stuck at 20%.
There were no compatibility issues and I reached the part about "Gathering files, settings and programs" but it's been there at 20% for about 2 hours.
Is this normal?
