    KB2952664 update won't install


    I just downloaded 18 Win.7 64 bit updates, but KB2952664 won't instal

    No need even if you don't plan to upgrade...its only three dll updated that already came with Windows 7 SP1.

    No need even if you don't plan to upgrade...its only three dll updated that already came with Windows 7 SP1.

    Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data
    If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

    Lots of posts about this issue around the 'net. Latest is that MS fixed it so it should install.

    I hid it the first time it was offered. Will do it again as I have no plans to upgrade this OS any time soon.

    KB2952664 does not appear in my list of uninstall progs. Comment on the internet suggests that this means that the update didn't start to install in the first place so I don't know how I remove it. My computer took over 10 minutes to start up this morning so assume that this had something to do with this update.
