Windows 7 Activation fails, not counterfeit, have OEM install DVD

I started getting "Optional update delivery is not working" window with message "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting". Clicked "Go online and resolve now", installed Windows Activation Update, restarted, tried activating, got message "This product key could not be used", and code 0xC004C008.

I have the Windows 7 install disk, with its Certificate of Authenticity and product key, in front of me. I do not think it is counterfeit. The product key fragment in the report is the same as the product key on the install disk

I am hoping for some advice on interpreting the MGADiagTool report from y'all. This may be an easy one to call, perhaps related to being OEM instead of Retail. I don't know.

    Thanks!

All that appears to be wrong is that you neglected to activate within the grace period.
Having said that, the Key should not be 'on the install disk' at all - it should only be on the COA sticker (which should be attached to the machine's case).

    telephone activation (operator calls)
    Click on the Start button
    in the Search box, type
    SLUI 4
    and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions, but when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply - this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with you
