Windows 7 32Bit Update Error Code 800B0100 for SP1 install

    Hi all,
I am trying to install Service Pack 1 (KB976932) on a freshly installed Lenovo notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit. After running many suggested solutions from the update workflow itself the update readiness tool reported some corrupt files:
    - Deleting Windows Update cache
    - Running WindowsUpdateDiagnostic
    - Running sfc /scannow
    - Running Update Readiness Tool Windows6.1-KB947821-v33-x86

--> I might have corrupted files according to the log file but could not find reliable download locations:

    CheckSUR results:
    Checking System Update Readiness.
    Binary Version 6.1.7601.22471

Extracted the corrupted files from the downloaded KB file Windows6.1-KB2545698-x86 with expand -F:*.* Windows6.1-KB2545698-x86.msu and then expand -F:* Windows6.1-KB2545698-x86.cab and then copied them to the folder C:\Windows\servicing\Packages

...and have you run CheckSUR again to ensure that the files are properly registered?

The proper way to get the files where they are needed is to use the CheckSUR tool itself - this avoids having to make changes in permissions, and ensures that any registry changes that need to be made are also made.
