I picked up a Samsung 250 GB 840 EVO SSD. Can I use the cloning software that comes with the new SSD, or will that result in bad juju being cloned over from the failing SSD? Would a completely fresh installation of Windows be the best thing for a new SSD?

It's likely that you'd have a lot of problems with a cloned install - I'd do a clean one, and then collect an image of that for backup

SSD has been switched out... had some problems with the new SSD, but I can open a new thread for that if I need it. Marking this one as resolved.

Thanks for all of the help, Noel!
